What do you see?
Eurocrats? Suits? A brightly coloured carpet?
Or do you see what I see? Three people talking. Underneath that: three people sitting together with their laptops. And underneath that: one person. Facing her laptop, speaking on the phone. It brought the following video to mind:
TEDx – Sherry Turkle: Connected, but alone?
Although I do not agree with all of Turkle's statements, it may be worth watching the video to see if we can, for ourselves (because for whom else?), answer the following question: With all of this technology at our fingertips are we, like Turkle says, "getting used to being alone together"?
