Rotten tomatoes?

Rottentomatoes.com actually haven’t got round to it yet, but we are seeing some reaction to our “six-pack” of videos on the web quite rapidly. So far, thanks to the critics, who seem to like what we did. First off the mark was Julien, as ever (thanks to him for spotting the other posts), then Macarena, and next Andreas. Now also Europeum. On Twitter some remarks assembled under the new #web2eu hashtag, which is actually a great tag (Julien again!), deserving long life and rich ongoing conversation on many other matters too.

  1. Okidoki, now we have the roots and original purpose of the #web2eu hashtag uncovered:

WTF is Web2EU? Twite excuses and twedious explanations.

Web 2 EU was planted in the title of an event in May “Web 2 EU: From Publication 2 Participation”. We then experimented using it as a hashtag to facilitate organising the event on Twitter and it did get used for a bit of back-channelling between participants.

It is now also used for the Twibe Web2EU to bring together “people looking for ways to link technology, communications and politics to help save democracy.”

  2. Apologies to @hughbs. So in that case, it is definitely badly underused. So much chat on Twitter about the EU and Web 2.0 – this tag is perfect!

  3. The #web2eu hashtag wasn’t my invention; I think it was @hughbs who introduced it at some point during last year.
