The year 1989…

The year 1989 was a year of miracles, an annus mirabilis (a domino effect of revolutions: in Poland the transition [from communism to democracy] which lasted ten years, in Hungary ten months, in Czechoslovakia ten days.)Why did what happened 20 years ago happen? Any ideas or comments?

Trophies

When being led by curiousity you pick up small stones from the ground, you never ever suspect they might become little trophies in many years. This is what happened, when I was to Berlin many years ago and collected some remnants from the Berlin Wall .

Exciting tomorrow

Confessions of a dangerous ungreen mind

It all started with this. There, I discovered that despite my good intentions and my claims about not having a car, eating BIO and little meat etc, I live as if I had 3,4 planets at my disposal. The truth is that it takes a while to befriend such an enemy of the brain as one becomes aware of losing control. This loss becomes apparent with things falling from one’s hands, forgetting where [...]

A bit of taste..but sshh, will you?

Who can possibly contradict me when I’d say what a great novel Orwell wrote, Nineteen Eighty-Four? Of course we all like it, reading such an amazing prevision, one big brother and lots of censorship, power and “sex gone sour” fanaticism. Well, I was born in 1984…in Romania. But never felt like this was taking much [...]

Lisbon ratified!

Just to keep you posted. It has happened: The Czechs gave the green light for Lisbon. The Treaty will enter into force one month after the ratification.

Fancy going to Kansas?

Everyone wants to look inside to see how it is. We call it transparency. Well, here’s your chance: Nadina goes on her offices’ crawl and introduce you to Eirini’s, our Greek editor.

Dublin Web Summit – post match analysis

Whither the web and new media? Whither politics and the new media? Whither commercial organizations and the new media? Did the Dublin Web Summit provide any answers to these questions. Or did it conclude we should go down the pub instead?
